Please excuse the rather incomplete and haphazard nature of this site as it is a work in progress. I hope to create a fairly comprehensive guide to models and reading materials for this railway. Any good railway modeller will tell you to be specific when creating a layout, this helps not only with the added realism it gives, but also when researching dates of reboilering/rebuilding etc. I have therefore picked 1929 as the era of my layout. This was the last year the famous and very attractive blue livery was seen on the line. A number of standard classes had crept into S&DJR stock, notably the 4F, 3F & 2P. This makes it somewhat easier to create a layout, as the models are more freely available.
